The closest course and a real gem. An 18-hole, Par 72 layout set in beautiful rolling countryside with mature trees and water features. Well-maintained and welcoming to visitors.
Golf de Barthe, Tombeboeuf
A charming 9-hole course in rolling countryside surrounded by farms and gentle hills. Excellent greens, water hazards on several holes, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Very affordable and welcoming to visitors of all levels. Can be played twice for an 18-hole round.
Albret Golf Experience, Barbaste
A full 18-hole, Par 72 course set amid century-old oaks with panoramic views over the Buzet vineyards and bastide villages. Sandy soil means it's playable year-round. Recently revitalised with a bistro restaurant, hotel, and padel courts on site.
Golf d'Agen Bon-Encontre
A hilly 9-hole course on high ground overlooking the Garonne valley near Agen. Suitable for all levels, with a driving range, putting green, restaurant, and pro shop. A good option for a half-day round.
Golf du Château d'Allot, Agen-Boé
The top-rated course in the Agen area, expanded to 18 holes in 2024. A modern Par 70 layout alongside the Garonne with century-old cedars and mature parkland. Full practice facilities and clubhouse.
Practical Information
Booking Tee Times
Most courses accept walk-ins outside peak times, but booking ahead is recommended in July and August. Course websites and phone booking are both available.
Club Hire
All the main courses offer club hire. If you're travelling light, you can still enjoy a round without bringing your own equipment.
Best Time to Play
Early morning tee times are best in summer. May, June, and September offer the most comfortable playing conditions. Most courses are open year-round.
Handicap Certificates
Some courses may ask for a handicap certificate, though many welcome all levels. Check with the individual course when booking if you're unsure.
